Card thickness is often measured in points. One point is equivalent to.001 inches or.0254 millimeters. So technically, 48-point, or 48pt, is 0.048" , or 1.22mm thick. However that probably didn't help you much..... But this might. 48-point is about as thick as a US penny. Hope that helped!
